Biography: Dr. Dai-Bin Kuang is a professor in the School of Chemistry at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU). Dr. Kuang received his PhD degree from Sun Yat-sen University (China) in 2003. He worked at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (Germany) from 2003-2004 and also at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) from 2004-2008 as postdoctoral researcher. In 2008, he became a professor in Sun Yat-sen University. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed publications with more than 15000 citations. His current research interest is in the field of new energy materials, focusing on the design and synthesis of functional nanostructured materials and their applications in photocatalysis, photoluminescence, and photodetector.

Prof. Wenjie Mai

Biography: Wenjie Mai received his B.S. degree in Physics (2002) from Peking University (PKU) and his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering (2009) from the Georgia Institute of Technology (GIT). He is now a full Professor in Jinan University (JNU). His main research interest includes photodetector, energy conversion, harvesting and storage devices, such as supercapacitors, dye-sensitized solar cells, nanogenerators, and photoelectrochemical water splitting.

Assoc. Prof. Annamaria Pau

Biography: Annamaria Pau received her Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in Civil Engineering from the University of Cagliari, Italy, in 1999, and her Ph.D. degree in Structural Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, in 2004. From 2004 to 2008, she was a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering, Sapienza University of Rome, where she has been assistant professor from 2008 to 2020. She is associate professor with the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering, Sapienza University of Rome, since November 2020. She has taught courses in statics, and mechanics of solids and structures. She is a member of the Ph.D. board in Engineering and Applied Science, Department of Astronautics, Electric and Energy Engineering, Sapienza University of Rome since 2017. Annamaria Pau was a recipient of the Sapienza Ricerca award for her research on dynamic characterization and structural monitoring in 2011. She is Associate Editor of the Journal of Vibration and Control since September 2019.
